lyrics
Our General,
Our loyalty for you is endless
Your legions
Are waiting for your next command
Some victories are gained without a sword
Today, we will march to the tribes of the North
“Slaughter and pillage, the glory of Rome”
That's our command, our fate
Brothers, let's move on
Our General,
We've shed our blood, we’ve given you our all
(All) legions
Will bury the dead and hunt down their foes
Men, I've heard the call
The rescued noble stirred up our foes
Sails up! To the riverine!
The Silver Eagle, we’ll proudly reclaim, show our might
Glorious, eternal Empire
Grandiose fame and power
Our general
The Augur says that we’ll win today
Your legions
Armours shine and spears are held high
Scouts have returned, flanks are secured
“Bring me my sword and saddle my horse!”
Arrows and fire, rain from the sky
Rome will prevail! Leave none of them alive!
Our General!
With you we are victorious and
Your legions
Shall praise your name and Rome forever!
My gallant troops, this fight is fought
Now we must make haste back to Rome
Commanded, we are to head far away
To the land of the sun and the golden grain
Glorious, eternal Empire
Grandiose fame and power
These barren times
Tainted souls
Perfidy
I can hear them in the night
As I lie still
Like venom it stings
We have all sworn to obey the Emperor’s commands
We shall never desert
And we shall not seek to avoid death
But always be ready to sacrifice our lives for the Roman Empire!
Glorious, eternal Empire
Grandiose fame and power
As a wise man once said:
“As is a tale, so is life: not how long it is,
But how good it is, is what matters.”

Sabaton manages to rise from the sea of mediocrity that has plagued them in the last few albums. This album once again has some good and distinct songs, not just grey mass. I can feel that they put some work into this one. pghm
